This post is dedicated to my best fraaannn, Gabby.
Alrighty so last night, I watched the movie Amelie.
Amelie is about a girl who lives in France, and her name's Amelie. She's a shy and quiet, and likes to dream. She lives in an apartment with many of her neighbors, and works at a coffee shop with her female co-workers, who you get to know more about throughout the movie. Then, when she's at home, she finds a rusted tin box from a boy who lived in her apartment forty years ago. And that's when her life changes.
I really freaking loved this movie, because I felt it's meaning was really got to me. I think it's meaning was "You can't dream forever. You need to go out and face your dreams".
So I went to sleep, and I woke up at around 12:00 PM, hopped into the shower, and afterwards let my curls dry for a bit. I got on my bike at around 2:00 and continued my exploring from yesterday. I pretty much just rode around. I went to the library and got "Love and Other Drugs" and "Away We Go". I'M SO EXCITED BECAUSE JOHN KRASINSKI PLAYS IN THAT MOVIE AND WE ALL KNOW JOHN KRASINSKI IS A SEX GOD
Afterwards, I went to Dairy Queen again, (I SWEAR TO MYSELF THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME) and [AGAIN] got fries and an ice cream cone. I kinda felt bad because I am blowing away my money to Dairy Queen. So I went home after that, and got on my laptop, and here I am blogging about my day.
So I shall go now, and I wish whomever is reading this to have a very spectacular day.

Basements and Dingy Towns...
So today, I spent my morning cleaning my sister's old room in the basement, and turning it into my room. Although when my mom found out, she was not very happy. She said I could only live down there a week before I had to move back into my old room. Darn...
At around 4:30, I finally fixed my bike, and took it out to explore my small and dingy town. First, I went to the library. I got the movies Amelie, and Lost in Translation, which I positively heard about. I also got the Arctic Monkey's CD, Humbug,
which is being downloaded to my iPod right now. The best part of this whole thing is I got it for free! Let's take a moment to thank god for local libraries.
After that, I went to the Dairy Queen next to the library, and got fries, and a chocolate ice cream cone. I was the only one in the restaurant, which I guess was nice.
So when I left, I didn't want to go home yet (even though I was incredibly tired and my legs felt like they were about to burst) so I detoured to Guthridge Park, and on the way there, I found this super awesome secret spot, which was these mini-woods right next to the highway.
When I got to the park, I watched these little tots play T-ball, and it was the cutest thing ever! Plus, there was a--not gonna lie--very cute coach, who looked around my age. Although I didn't recognize him from school.
Well, that was pretty much how I spent my day. I got home feeling like I was about to faint. So I went to my room and secretly downed two whole waterbottles (my parents think I'm fasting for Ramadan) I'm still really hungry, and I still feel like I'm going to faint, but my mother is occupying the kitchen, meaning I won't be able to sneak some food down.

Summer!
Well. It's been summer for quite awhile now. I haven't been really up to date on this blog, but what can I say! My life is extraordinarily boring, so there's not much to talk about.
Well, a few things about my summer "joys":
Well, a few things about my summer "joys":
- I'm fasting. And yes, I know I'm no longer Muslim, but I don't want my parents being suspicious of that, so I'll might as well do it, I mean, better than them actually finding out and sending me off to some strict Islamic boarding school! Anyway, I'm fasting, so I'm crabby, hungry, and moody.
- I'm taking a break off of my Tumblr. I'm way too addicted. I need to actually close my laptop and experience the world (which I will report onto here from now on). I need to spice up life, because right now it's quite bland.
- I started my very first babysitting job. A two year old. The poor kid hated me. Well, hey, at least I made a total of $350 over a period of two and half weeks.
- I plan on starting a bank account, to save up for a CAR. I mean, I'm only fourteen, but I figure by the time I actually turn sixteen and it's time for me to drive myself, I'll have my very own extraordinary fantabulous car.
- I turned fourteen on July 14th! Which means that I REALLY NEED TO START STUDYING FOR MY PERMIT.
- I got to meet the editor of Rookiemag, Tavi Gevinson, in Iowa City at the Rookie Road Trip, she was really nice and awesome (as I expected her to be). We got a picture together, which I'll post later, because it's not on this computer that I'm currently using.
- I've started collaging and making zines!
- I've started reading Jodi Picoult.
- I've started watching Grey's Anatomy (which I must admit I've gotten addicted to)
- I've started watching Arrested Development.
- I'm thinking about moving my bedroom to my sister's old room, downstairs, so that it'll be easier for me to sneak out in the middle of the night (I'm kidding)
- I start high school in August! Weirdly, I'm so excited!
